I wanted to post a picture of my grandfather — “Papa Joe” as he was affectionately known — who died this past Sunday. He had been quite sick on and off for the past several months and so to some degree we expected it, but he had been making an apparent turn for the better, so while it was expected, it wasn’t, you know? This picture was taken on a special family reunion cruise that my Mom planned a year and a half ago, specifically to honor my grandfather for his 80th birthday that year. He loved life, loved golf, loved his family and pulling his silly pranks on us. We will all miss him very much.
I will be out of town this Sunday through next Wednesday for the funeral in Oklahoma, so if you contact me during that time, I may be a little bit slow to respond. I hope you understand.
