This past Saturday, Erica and Steve were married on what amounted to be a gorgeous day all around. Their wedding was at Silverleaf, a private club and community nestled deep in the north Scottsdale foothills. The weather was near Arizona perfect, the setting as romantic and beautiful as it comes, and the couple calm, relaxed and joyous. These two are so sweet. I don’t know how to better describe each of them – just a very sweet, kind, easy-natured duo. They live in California, where we did their engagement session at Laguna Beach last December (on a freezing day where Erica was such a trooper!), but since Erica grew up here, they wanted to tie the knot officially back home. And I’m so glad they did — it was such a fantastic day! Jennifer Thye of Imoni Events, wedding planner extraordinare ensured all the moving parts of the day were executed seamlessly and beautifully as did all the amazing vendors on Erica and Steve’s team!

\\I love it when the day starts early to cover lots of prep time because there are so many great moments during this time of anticipation.

Andy Andrews, who shoots with me often, hung with the guys and got some great stuff.

Love this one that Andy captured

Erica’s Dad was brought to tears upon seeing Erica, which brought me, Erica and everyone else watching to tears. He just had a very serious surgery last month, so I think part of him was feeling especially blessed to see her like this on her wedding day.

Laura Ellerbroek has been interning and assisting me and she got this fantastic shot of Erica walking out right before she walked down the aisle.
My view from the front and Andy’s from the back

The best part about Erica’s gorgeous wedding gown is that her seamstress turned the bottom of it into a detachable part. She literally affixed snaps to the bottom part where the train attached, so Erica was able to take it off after the ceremony super quickly. What a genius idea I loved it!

Beautiful details

I loved this moment when Erica’s Mom and Dad were welcoming Steve into their family as their first son (Erica has a younger sister)

Thank you Erica and Steve for being so awesome! It was such an honor to spend the day with you and your families!

Special thanks to Andy and Laura, who helped second shoot and assist. You guys rock!
