Can’t wait for Chelsea & Jon’s wedding this April! These two are awesome and we had a great time at their session awhile back.  (Im so so behind on these posts!) I especially loved it when they broke out their beach cruisers at the park :-)

I recently photographed Whitney and Sean’s engagement session in Scottsdale. They are getting married next spring here in Arizona and we had a great time hanging out and capturing some images of them together. They were so fun and I look forward to their wedding!

Caitlin and Ryan live in San Diego, but they are getting married here in Arizona next spring. I recently had the chance to go out and visit them in San Diego for their engagement session and we had a blast playing around in the beachy town Del Mar. They are the epitome of that gorgeous California couple – both tall, beautiful and tan on the outside, but they are also extremely cool, funny and kind on the inside. One of things I noticed immediately about these two is that they really have a lot of fun together – they are very much buds at their core. They love to laugh and be affectionate and playful with one another, which I have always found to be such an important ingredient to marriage. Life is going to hand you some hard times and you need to be able to laugh together as a couple to get through things sometimes. I had such a great afternoon with them and can’t wait for their wedding!I love this image below of them!

After our casual time, they dressed up a little and we went over the L’Auberge, before we got promptly kicked out for not securing permission to shoot there ;-) 

I told my brother in law (who lives there year round and owns The Burly Bear) the types of looks I wanted and he could not have directed me to a better place. The old, rotten shack and rusted out car below was preciously what I had in mind before hand, and the awesome little lake that follows this set was the icing on the cake.

I adore these next two… the feel of them. Thank you Laura and Josh for such a fun session!

Erin and Max are my first wedding back this September and I’m so looking forward to it because I had such a fun (and funny!) time with them at their engagement shoot in May. Max had us laughing more than half the time, so I’m surprised there wasn’t more camera shake involved on my end! We went to the Desert Botanical Gardens in Tempe, one of my favorite places to shoot because of the gorgeous light in there, and just the whole feel of it – especially this set above and below. While it was pretty hot that day and we were all sweating quite a bit, I don’t think they seemed to show it in their photos at all… they just look beautiful.

Addie & Kevin are getting married in their home state of Iowa this fall, and while they already had a photographer lined up for that when they contacted me for engagement photos, it was so great to spend some time with them way back in May. They are an adorable couple and were so natural with each other, both in person and in front of the camera. They loved the look of Old Town Scottsdale — an area where I do tons of shoots — so at times it can be challenging for me to try and come up with new ideas, but I think we pulled it off AND were able to capture the essence of them , which to me is more important than the location.

My associate photographer Jenny Bishop has three weddings booked so far the fall when she comes back from maternity leave, and Angela & Paul are one of them. She recently met up with them and their doggies to shoot their engagement shoot, and I think she did a fantastic job! Check out their cuteness — and how well behaved their dogs are…

This beautiful couple is getting married at Desert Mountain in Cave Creek this fall. They came all the way down from Vancouver, Canada for their engagement session (and to see family who lives here), but I told them I wished I had travelled up to see them. Vancouver is one of my favorite cities! Claire & Jeff – thanks for the fun session and I look forward to your wedding in September.
