E-Session: Ashley + Kyle

I also photographed Ashley and Kyle’s engagement session recently. They chose to do their session at the Paradise Valley Country Club to start and then follow it up at the McCormick-Stillman train park to play! We really had a great time during their session and especially at the park, which is my home away from home these days since my J likes to go there all the time. We also had a ton of wind that day, which was great photographically, but I felt bad for Ashley since it was freezing! Well, 58 degrees in AZ is freezing :-)

Ashley and Kyle are getting married at Montelucia this June and I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding!

Ashley kind of reminds me of Jennifer Connelly here…

After leaving the country club, we headed to the park and had fun playing!

LOVE this!

I really love this next image.

September 8, 2009 - 9:42 am Kathy Lee - I love the fourth playground picture inside the pentagon shaped jungle gym. The lines of that photo are so interesting, and very different from anything I have ever seen. You have a great eye for detail!

April 28, 2009 - 10:32 am Keri - Love the park pics!! Great job!

April 28, 2009 - 8:41 am Jenny Bishop - These are amazing Jen!!! Love so many of the park ones I can't choose a favorite! Fantastic job on all of these photos! :)

E-Session: Ally + Carlos

I met up with Ally and Carlos several weeks ago in Tempe for their engagement session. Carlos is a huge ASU fan, so our goal was to go into the stadium and do some fun shots, but it was all locked up so we could not get in unfortunately. And then it started pouring rain half way through the session, but luckily we found shelter inside the Tempe Center for the Arts, which turned out to be pretty darn cool! Ally and Carlos are getting married this weekend and I’m very excited for their wedding at the DC Ranch Country Club.

2-Day Sedona Intensive

Kim and I are excited to release the details of the 2-day intensive workshop in Sedona, Arizona! This workshop primarily arose out of both of us receiving emails from previous workshop attendees and other photographers out there asking for a more advanced type of workshop/training. In an effort to help others with specific challenges and questions, we put together this intensive workshop to address more on the business side of photography.

We hope you can join us Friday, August 7-Sunday, August 9, 2009 for what is sure to be a jam-packed weekend full of learning, fun and friendship building. This workshop will marry both the art of photography with the critical business skills necessary for success. Click here for all the details.

Contest! Win a seat to our workshop

Do you know someone who deserves a free seat to one of our workshops? Could it be you?

Kim and I are holding a contest to give away one free seat to either our beginner or intermediate class to someone who really wants to attend, but may not be able to afford it right now.

How to enter: Send us your story or tell us about someone you know who would love to attend but what challenges you or they face preventing them from attending. To enter, please visit the Create Better Images blogsite and select Contact Us. Then just tell us your story (or their story if you are entering on someone else’s behalf) and why it is important for you or them to attend. Kim and I will review the stories and select one based on how it moves us.

Contest deadline: May 15, 2009 by 9:00 PM PST.

Disclaimers: The entrant must be able to attend either the beginner class or intermediate class on Saturday, June 13, 2009, have transportation to the workshop in Mesa, and the camera gear necessary (or can borrow it) for the class.
